Does anyone know if Amazon / AWS adjusts for cost of living for remote roles? Amazon Web Services

I know we all love the work from home (or do we?) but does anyone actually miss traveling for their consulting engagements and all the fun that goes along with it? The late nights at the office then the bar and random hookups and excitement and all that? Sure it’s a grind but I think I actually miss it too. Maybe I just miss seeing people at work or seeing people at all. I wonder if we’ll ever get back to that.

Hi, me and my wife are looking to get a 5 months old lab puppy. We are in difficult projects which requires around 10-12 hours everyday. We work from home. This is going to be our first pet. We are not sure how much time commitment is needed? Not want to regret decision later, can someone please share their experience?

Wow…covid is really over. I live in a rural area where we knew covid was happening but it never really impacted the community or daily life. However when I’d go into the city it was very very obvious there were huge life impacts and fear. I just went into the city for the first time in about 3 months and it’s like covid never happened. It makes me wonder how many other things that have drastically changed (like wfh and hand sanitizer) will go back to normal as people go back to normal.

WORK FROM HOME SUCKS!!! I can't take it anymore. I went for a drive last night after kids put to bed and it felt like a vacation. I get the no commute and more free time, but don't you really miss casual team meals, seeing new places, vacation points, etc?
