Thought about applying for a marketing role at Apple Music but looking at current employee profiles on LinkedIn is so discouraging. It’s like they only hire people who’ve worked in the music industry. I’ve held and currently hold a marketing role at big tech companies but different industry. Wondering if that would make a difference, or I’m wasting my time applying.

I feel like I was straight up lied to during the interview process. “lots of opportunities to hit quota”. I’m sitting here with only one demo two months after joining the company. it looks like our team has only two people doing demos, and demos are only happening once every two weeks. At this rate, I don’t think I’ll be even close to hitting OTE. Are there any other companies hiring right now? I’ll have a discussion about my concerns with my manager soon, but there’s too many red flags here.
