No. I do have a MA but not a MBA. It wasn’t the direction I wanted and frankly found it boring. You might not be in the right place doing the right work for the right people. The economy is tough. You might have personality things that make leaders think you’re not leadership material. Maybe ask for honest feedback after meetings; start obtaining regular 360s.
I have an MS, not an MBA. Some companies require MBAs for advancement, but a good many do not. I second PO1’s thoughts. There are many things that can stall career growth; asking for honest feedback is important to understand how you are viewed by your leadership. It’s also good for validating that your expectations for advancement pacing are inline with your company’s practices.
