Hi all, I’m a BDR at Fortinet @ with 10 months experience. There’s no progression and I’ve been offered a role in an e-commerce BDR role (series funding C) which pays about £12,000 more (60k OTE), company has a history of promoting people in just 6 months to AE which is what I want to be. Was interviewing with Google
First interview was RRK and Leadership. Got feedback after interview that I am moving onto next round.
Had my next one on Googliness and GCA. Received feedback that I am now moving onto HM round.
Few days later, I get a call saying that the first interviewer has now changed their mind and have evaluated me on themes beyond (area they were not interviewing for and have changed their mind post feedback submission and my next round)
What should I be doing?

Yes happened to me. Not right fit for the role but if feedback is good the recruiter will reach out with other suitable positions. My recruiter was awesome and kept sending me roles and I eventually got hired this way after trial and error with a few roles.
If it’s a role with a totally different team then it’s the whole loop. It really depends on how much of your previous interviews can be leveraged for the new role, but generally expect 3-4 interviews again. Feel free to DM me if you have more questions

Didn’t mention hiring committee - just said there would be a leadership review...
Same. Recruiter told me they went internal but they were impressed and looking for other spots. Also got a personal email from the hiring manager.
But now I’m wondering if they always do this to be nice and I shouldn’t think anything of it and keep it moving. Or continue to have hope that something will work out and apply for new stuff.
