Hi Fishes
I want to share very bad experience I had at Mastercard
I was given offer by Mastercard in month of Dec The hike was less but looking at brand & other perks I accepted the offer & was looking forward to joining them.I got few offers & I went back to them for sole purpose of renegotiating CTC, to have a industry standard hike. They didn't reverted back for 2-3 days & just dropped a mail that they are revoking initial offer as well on grounds that they didn't like i gave other interview
I have interview scheduled and completed from Commonwealth Bank Bangalore location. All technical rounds cleared.
When I called HR i got a surprise answer..
They mentioned the position which I have intervied is different than the salary rem ranges. And my current salary is higher than position what they have got and asked for approval for rem ranges changes..
Is any one faced this? Ideally HR should know expectation and allocation before scheduling intervjew..
I am bit confused with commonwealt

Finally found THE one, after over a year of searching and trying out at least 5 different ones!
A nice comfortable office chair.

My criteria: mesh seat and back, arms, headrest
I tried cheap ones from Amazon. Expensive, second hand gaming chairs. Tried HM Aeron (second hand) and while I didn't like the bulk and the general design, I was sold on the mesh seating. I wanted to get the ErgoChair 2 from autonomous, but it doesn't have mesh seat.

On what?
Hmm. If it’s within Big 4 it’s a big Maybe. Outside of that No. i feel like this environment you could find other offers in thr $100K range

The move would be to Deloitte, currently at AFS
Desperate to leave, haven’t had any luck elsewhere….you should jump.
You’re underpaid now and you’ll be underpaid again but if you’re in a bad spot then might as well try something else out.
Aren’t small steps better than no steps? I mean not a huge leap but still progress. You can leave again if some other opportunity arises.
Target much higher in negotiations and make the jump. You’re in the drivers seat right now. It doesn’t make sense to leave for less than a 25% bump, especially if your responsibilities are going up (albeit on paper). If you can’t get above 95k, don’t make the jump (imo)

The 88K is after negotiations. I was offered 85K at first then they bumped it to 88K after I refused. I’m hoping to hit 90K after further negotiations but it’s not guaranteed. I don’t see myself getting 95K anywhere at this point, since I’ve been applying and interviewing for months and this is the first offer I’ve gotten. I agree with your points though. This is a very low offer.
OP- if you got passed over for a promotion from Analyst to SA, then you may honestly want to look at a career outside of consulting as this is a pretty standard promotion, at least on the LLP side of the house. With that said, you may have also just gotten horrendous CCs who don’t stick up for you. But again, the Promotion to SA kind of requires a reason to not promote you. Not trying to kick you when you’re down at all, just trying to provide some perspective…

Um no. Thanks but no thanks. I love consulting and I’m pretty damn good at it, according to the feedback I’ve gotten from my team and manager. I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t be getting this much responsibility and management over other teammates if I was horrible at my job. My PL was pretty unresponsive before performance results and has now been even more unresponsive and dodging my meeting requests ever since performance results were released. I’ve done everything + more for my team and the +1s I’m involved in. And this is true for other analysts on my project as well. I’m in AFS.
I was in this position a few years ago. My answer was no—but I was chasing compensation and the opportunity for new responsibilities where I’d learn again. Consider what you’re looking to get out of leaving and if this offer really represents that
I put another year of searching in. The whole process stunk, but I ended up finding a role that paid another 15k more then the prior offers and better aligned with my actual career growth.
I’m not going to say stay/go. I am saying it’s okay to turn down an offer if the opportunity is not really attractive enough
Hell no. I was in the same boat and got 120+5 from KPMG.
Also this smells like PwC’s experience associate leveling.
What’s your reason for leaving?
And what’s the quality of your network at Accenture? That bump is pretty low and won’t make a noticeable change to your take-home. If you have a strong network at Accenture that opens doors for you, then I would stay. If you don’t, then maybe it’s worth it to leave.
Then it definitely sounds worth it!
Is this consulting or advisory? Seems pretty low for consultant level at Deloitte.

Consulting, GPS Human Capital
Make sure you’re factoring in any un-vested 401k contributions you might lose if you leave or similar hidden costs - could cut down that 6k gap quickly
Consider thinking about what the next jump will be if you stayed (and got promoted or left later) versus leaving now and getting promoted or leaving from the new firm. This will heavily depend on the sum of your experiences over that time.
