Hi all, recently in touch by Spotify recruiter for a Sec Engineer position for remote EU and was told that range was 60-80 out of base salary and equity. Had 2 years of security experience out of my 4 years. Was also told that there is no bonus scheme or no sign in bonus 😕 Not sure how I feel about this tbh.
What do you think?
Spotify
WFH Poll. I vote full-remote.

Yes! I was hired as fully remote however now they are wanting us to gradually return to the office no matter if I was hired as fully remote or not. Even though I’m 48 miles from the office, I’m still within 50 miles. It makes zero sense
Certain parts of the company are only requiring twice a month (the roles they're scared to try and have to fill). Get whatever arrangement you set up in writing. Who knows if they'll change the 50 mile threshold.
Ugh. I am interviewing with LM tmw. I am a fully remote employee and have been for 6 years now. I’m also 58 miles from the nearest office . That would definitely be a deal breaker.
There's a decent chance you'll be fine since you're out of the 50-mile range. However, LM hasn't been great about keeping it's promises as of late so even if they say you will remain remote I would take anything they say with a grain of salt
If you're over 50 miles from an office you will be 100% remote and we are still hiring remote.
RTO is in September and I don't truly believe all roles will be required in the office the 2x a week especially if you're a 1hr+ commute.
I did see a post in the LM bowl where someone was saying they were having our recruiters tell potential candidates that the jobs we had originally advertised as fully remote, now are not. I’d make sure to ask about this and LMI3 said, get that sh!t in writing if you’re told you can stay remote.
Yes it is and completely unnecessary after 3 years of doing out jobs better at home.
I wouldn't stop the interview process, I would simply use this as a negotiating factor. if they want you, and they are offering remote to some employees, then you should be able to negotiate a fully remote position. Perhaps offer to go into the office once a month or something if they seem on the fence.
I would totally take once a month, and it would still probably be the worst day of the month.
I interviewed for an LM job that was advertised as fully remote. After reading posts in this bowl about LM RTO, I brought the issue up to the recruiter. She wasn't pleased with my question, didn't give a straight answer. I remained courteous. I doubt I will hear back from LM about the role.
You're dodging a bullet - company is in turmoil. They didn't tell the recruiters that this would ever happen...so the recruiters were telling people remote was permanent...and a lot of them feel very defensive about it.
I am 51.2 miles away, so my job is still remote. I'm not sure if they are still hiring fullying remote workers, and I'm pretty sure my path forward has just been shortened substantially.
Yea the liberty side is RTO and the Safeco side is more than likely going to do the same
I know there's a split in expectations between GRS and GRM as well. GRM got the short straw.
Not really, most that started out as remote and quickly moving back to office full time or at least hybrid. Can't hurt to ask the hiring manager
Very curious to hear how this turned out. I'd love to know what they're telling new recruits.
Is Liberty still hiring adjusters or Subro reps?
