Anyone with recent experience recruiting for Boston Consulting Group? Got in touch with a recruiter through referral, was directed to submit an application and already finished my pymetrics. Anyone know when I would be able to hear back and what the hiring timeline looks like? Recruiter suggested to get back in a few weeks but isn’t it too slow? McKinsey sent me an invite for 1st interview in a few days after they received my referral.

Pretty sure it's 6 weeks technically classified as short term disability and 6 weeks technically classified as maternity plus whatever vacation you have accrued. Check out the Prepared Parent Portal on myKcurve. Short answer: 12 weeks paid but they're classified differently. (Someone else can correct me if I'm wrong though.)
Jinx
Looks like there's 26 weeks total of job protection. So that less the 12 weeks paid (short-term disability + maternity) gets you 14 weeks max unpaid on top of that.
@PwC 2, 26 weeks is approximately 6 months :) and it's a firm wide time frame for holding your position. If you talk to your team, you may get more. But I felt that 10 months total was enough for me.
Can we use the unlimited sick days on top of it? Do we need a doctor's notes because the number of sick days I want to use will be more than 3 days?
No no no
Pwc offers 12 weeks in total. You don't use sick days. You have 6 weeks of short term disability leave and then another 6 weeks of parental leave. Search K Curve. They have a whole lot of resources.
12 weeks in total. One more week if you had a c section. And also one more week if it's twins I believe. You can also take unpaid.
Two more weeks for c-section or twins.
@PwC3 do you know if there's a max of unpaid that we can take?
I took 6 months off unpaid.
So 10 months in total, 3 months paid leave, another month worth of vacation I saved up, and 6 months unpaid
I think 26 weeks is the firmwide minimum but like PwC 4, depending on your group you can probably negotiate more.
Sorry OP, I missed your question. I know of a few people that took off a whole year. But I am not sure of the dynamics. Personally I would not take off that much Time because I would feel like I have to re-learn my job again.
PwC 4, right, but the 26 weeks of job protection runs concurrently with short term disability and maternity leave. It's not 26 weeks on top of paid leave.
So if you took 10 months total then you got an extra 4 months of job protection over the firmwide minimum.
It is 6 months of protected job leave. I checked before taking it.
You can call PwC On -Leave center to confirm. At least that's how it was 3.5 years ago.
