I started with a cut and now am ahead of where I would have been if I had stayed at B4.
If it’s 1:1 then definitely no. You’ll get paid more at Slalom if you’re junior to mid level and you have skills they need. If they pay more than market you’ll get negligible raises moving forward as they right size you so get as much as you can going in. Slalom salaries > $200k is pretty rare. Their margins can’t really support that.
If you’re early in your career and are a techie they’re worth checking out.

Early on. Yes, later on, no. I’d recommend sub $150k total comp, Slalom is a good place to be. Interviewed with then a few times, and could not agree on a number. I told them I’d go over for a lateral move $200k base (KPMG Strat M) for better WLB.

I think slalom is definitely a pay cut relative to most Big 4 companies.
If not right away, definitely in a couple of years you’d fall behind
