Yes I think so. At this point everyone should have some type of sustainability efforts. I don't think it would be solely on the DEI though

Don't get me wrong- I'm all about sustainability and I agree that climate change impacts marginalized communities the most. But I'm having a hard time owing sustainability goals for my org when we still have so much work to do in creating equitable work environments.

I think these are different areas of expertise and it’s fair to feel like it’s too wide of a scope. I think they’re different verticals.
I suppose it depends on the size of the org. For bigger organizations with much bigger resources, I'd say sustainability along with DEI efforts should be non-negotiable.
I think it’s a waste of time to make the DEI tent so big it collapses on itself. Sustainability has a place in organizations but there’s no need to tack it onto DEI.
Flip sustainability and dei in that statement & the answer is yes.
