Does the referral program at your firm give bonus if the person gets hired? I always assumed it does for all consulting firms but apparently my friend from deloitte told me not. Also curious about everyone’s take on it. Is it worth the cost for firms to hire externally instead of promoting its own employees?

How would you go about asking a potential employer about working hour expectations, like being on-call or working 8+ hours a day? I don't mind working extra here and there, but if 50+ hours are required I plan on asking for more compensation. I plan on getting this in writing should I get an offer.
