I’m working at an insurance defense firm, trying to target my practice to L&E. I’m overworked and underpaid, but gaining valuable experience I hope to pivot toward an eventual in-house counsel position. I recently was offered an opportunity to lateral to a national firm for a significant pay increase (150% salary increase, much better benefits, hybrid WFH options). Problem-I would be shifting gears to Toxic Tort. I’m torn between my passion and the money. I’m a second year associate. WWYD?

Question: Girl friends parents finally came over for a ristha. Everything went great or so I thought but now she wants to time to think about moving forward. Googling ADHD today (I’m having a distracted day) and super frustrated because I’m realizing that I was likely misdiagnosed as depressed for years. I was taking SSRIs and dealing with awful side effects while I struggled for so long. I finally got an official diagnosis about 10 years ago but was never taught the symptoms or how to manage them. Found you tube channel ADDitutde magazine. Several really good presentations with recent developments Thought I’d share.

I applied for a job at a well-known healthcare company a couple of months ago. I had a number of remote interviews and then they asked me to fly out for a final round of in-person interviews. Later that week they told me that they were going to be making an offer. Another week has gone by and still no offer. They said they are still working on it. Is this the new norm for recruiting? I have other offers and can't keep waiting for these foot draggers.

Do disable folks get blackmailed from working in their field because of perceived liability issues? I'm highly skilled and educated, and I never know if I should disclose my disability because it's visible.

I have masters and 6 years of experience. I recently learned that a new grad who doesnt have his state boards yet has 39 per hour. A coworker experience of 20 years gets 50per hour. Not sure what to think of their weird pay scale. 🙂
