Hi Londoners ,
Moving in from outside UK.
Looking out for some areas in west / NW London where one can live with an infant on max 1400£ rental while requiring one partner to travel to Central occasionally for work and the other person 3 days a week to LHR.
Some Qns:
1) Will 1 Bedroom be too cramped for the infant to grow up? Should I raise budget?
2) I prefer being in family /childcare friendly areas. Had Harrow, Acton in mind . Are they good for my budget or any other suggestions?

Yes
The only way it does not get cancelled is if there is a weather or mechanical delay on the Paris to Nice leg. At that point you can walk up to the counter and ask to have that leg cancelled.
People used to do this all the time along with back to backs. Airlines closed all of those loop holes. You can still do back to backs if you use two airlines but most folks try to stick to one airline.
The airline has the right to cancel the flight because you “breached” the contract.
No I was trying to fly out with my GF. She had a JFK - Nice flight, but is now in Paris, but is flying out of nice in a couple weeks… confusing lol but I tried to fly with her
It will certainly be cancelled. You can pay a reschedule fee now or book a new ticket later. My husband works for AA.
Yes it will be cancelled - this was not smart. Fly to nice then jump on the train or cheap flight back to Paris.
Is your return flight from Paris or Nice?
From nice

They will cancel the rest of your itinerary if you miss any leg. At that point you’ll have to buy a one-way ticket home from Paris (which is likely to cost a lot more than the entire original flight did).
If you call the airline and ask to cancel the flight to (and back from, I assume) Nice they will reprice the itinerary to cost whatever the Paris round trip costs now.
Why did you buy a ticket to Nice if you’re not going there?

Right, skip lag is what I meant
Are you just going to steal your luggage when you go through customs and walk out? Why wouldn’t you just book to Paris. And then fly out of nice for your return? The way you’ve booked the flight right now is more expensive.
Just a word choice. Usually luggage goes from first destination to last destination. But flying through Paris I believe he would have to go through customs with his luggage.
Also, any luggage you check will get checked through to Nice unless you’re switching carriers.
Yes, Just change the flight, there are no rescheduling fees depending on what you bought
The airline knows what you are doing. This was done way before you.

I’ve known people who had their loyalty accounts canceled (and lost all their miles) for repeatedly doing this.
Yes they will. I would call them the next day or whenever and just say you got wuck at yoir layover and is it possible to reschdule or cancel the flight etc. Make something up. But when you don't show up to the next flight they will take note. I revently traveled and european attendants have a stick up their ass so I would rethink before calling.
Also if youre not flying with this airline a lot it doesnt matter. I did this last year and no one cares

Don’t skip Nice if you can help it, I like it even more than Paris LOL. But as everyone has said this could go poorly. It gets flagged for security reasons as well when someone doesn’t get on a connecting flight. Your luggage is most likely getting checked all the way through. Can you spend a day in Nice and then fly or take the train to Paris?
