Is HARMAN really recruiting for permanent remote roles? Would they ask us to come to office after sometime? I am a bachelor woman supporting my sickly parents and can't move them out of city. And my city don't have harman office. HR did mention permanent remote, still want to confirm as I've heard many cases people were called back across different product based companies. Hi,
If I get referred at IBM, get a mail for details from the HR but do not reply as I currently don't want to switch because of some reasons, can I get referred again after say 3 months?
Asking cuz the profile blocks for an year after applying/getting referred at Accenture.
Please help with the answer.

We all have makeshift “wfh offices” this is America. We work round the clock. 😂😂😭
The only way law firms will let us stop working if if the work dries up. My firm has made it very clear that we are to “maintain our high level of client service” during this pandemic. Albeit from home.
I sit at a table in our living room with a desk chair and laptop stand (I’ve used stacks of books as laptop stands previously). My husband works on his laptop on our kitchen table. If I need absolute quiet for calls, I work in the bedroom and sit on the bed or on the floor. It’s suboptimal to say the least but this is the best I can do- we have a 1-bedroom apartment and no space for a home office 🤷🏻♀️ My neck is already is serious pain after doing this for a week (bad sitting posture) and I may have to look into stretching/yoga exercises I can do at home to help. That will also happen in my bedroom or living room...In terms of organizing my hours, I start at the same time- 9am- and work until 7/8pm as usual. My company was well set up for remote working previously (I recognize this is rare) so my productivity hasn’t dropped.
From someone with back injuries- please get a desk and a good chair. Your back and neck are going to be killing you (like you already said)
Usually I work at my dining room table on my laptop. With the expectation schools will be closed for at least 4 weeks and my firm strongly encouraging wfh, my husband is out picking up an ultra wide monitor. I set up a stand up desk in a corner. IT said I could bring my desk setup home (two monitors and a docking station) but I anticipate I will need to go into the office occasionally (if I can).
I will probably continue to work my normal office hours, while trying to bribe my kids to play quietly in another room during conference calls. Not sure how this will work out. Monday is day 1 of my new normal, and I have 4 calls already scheduled.
Fellow European here (NL). I set up a monitor + laptop stand on my dining table, with keyboard and mouse. Trying to mimic my normal desk situation as much as possible.
However and wherever possible. Between the pandemic and some medical issues that popped up for my wife this week, I’ve been giving our vpn a workout. I find corners where my screen can’t be seen until my screen cover arrives, and I take conference calls from the couch, bedroom, car, etc. Home office be damned, work happens everywhere.
I have a home office but I still end up working on the couch and coffee table mostly when home. Currently waiting for my firm to make any WFH decisions / switches.
