Ever had an attorney randomly pull food that they somehow squished in their shoe during long court days. One day, it was taking forever in federal court due to the COVID backlog. An attorney was sitting at a table across from where I was sitting. Kept noticing him reaching down like he was scratching his foot then would bring his hand to his mouth. Very strange. Court concluded and I saw him by his car taking off his shoe and pulling a squished baggy with half a sandwich out of it.

Didn't renew lease. Scared I wouldn't be able to find the next home, especially an affordable one with this current market.

They should extend covid rates

I wanted to reschedule my hiring manager screen this week because I tested positive for covid and feeling sick with symptoms. Recruiter seemed annoyed and said hiring manager is busy for the rest of the week so I kept the original time slot. Interview is in 2 hrs and I just don’t feel like doing it esp thinking if this is the work culture

1st year Assoc in a small comm lit firm with 6 attorneys. Sole proprietor partner who is early/mid 70s. Literally doesn’t have or use a computer(like ever🙄). He has to have EVERYTHING printed from him including his emails which he is CC’d on everything me and my coworker send out. Openly racist (he’s Jewish too) and absolute pos to everyone who works for him. We also use PAPER files for him w/ company drive. They never wfh even during start of Covid. No access to emails. With my wife for 14 years, 2 kids under 8y - both under a lot of pressure bc Covid/work/private life/… and have been (unconsciously) running away from our couple not working “since a long time” (dixit my wife).
