What is wrong with people these days?

How are hours in CMAAS?
McKinsey & Company Had McKinsey & Company final round just over a week ago. When I followed up on Friday, the recruiter asked if we could have a phone call later that afternoon. When I provided availability (which was most of the day), no response or phone call. Should I follow up today or just wait for him to get back to me?

You might be able to talk to grocery stores in your neighborhood. Sometimes when items are being discontinued or nearing their best by dates they might donate them to you. I always have food on hand as well.
Chief
We only have one store that is not a chain-store, and everyone hits them up for donations.
While I know some of the things I’m going to suggest aren’t high on nutrition, at least they won’t be hungry. I’ve bought apples, pretzels, peanut butter bread, rolls, and crackers. You can usually get them on sale. I also would hit up your local Panera’s. They are go about donating stuff.
Do it. When you tell them you’re a teacher, they’ll gladly help, especially Panera and Brusters bagels.
Do you not have free breakfast and lunch where you are? I know that middle school kids are always hungry. Can you let parents know that their kids are hungry throughout the day and ask them to send snacks? Or ask for donations to stock your snack stash?
That's ridiculous! He ought to be seeking to hold his parents accountable. It is their responsibility to feed their child; not the teacher's! Maybe you ought to submit a report of neglect to CPS if they are sending him to school without feeding him.
Our schools offer free breakfast and free lunch, to all students and there is no paperwork required. We are not a district that would qualify for financial assistance. We just believe kids learn better if they aren’t hungry.
But how does anyone know anymore? My own kids go through the lunch line and give their student number. There is no cash, parents get an email if their kids’ account balances are low, but nothing is said to the students. Kids who get free lunch or reduced lunch do the same. No one knows who is paying or getting free food. (This is in NH, where I live, not where I teach.)
