Unfortunately, no
You can call and ask if there’s any retainer credit of sort. A close friend of mine did that and got like 100 or 150 off of the annual renewal fee for csr. Depends fully on how amicable the customer service is feeling at the time.
If you were one of the early adopters for the card and have had for 48+ months, I saw a post that someone downgraded to a Freedom card, signed up for a new CSR, and is eligible for the new bonus after initial spend. Then they moved their points back over. I haven't done this yet but thinking about it. They would prorate back the fee (then you pay the new one though of course). But it's a new 80k in points. Do some research to make sure!
Ohhhh interesting! I was an early adopter. Opened in late 2016/early 2017 iirc. May look into this further. Thanks for the info!
When I tried to get a retention offer last year, no dice

I always check here first to see what, if anything, others are getting when they threaten to cancel.

Google "flyertalk chase retention" if you don't like clicking links.
Oh awesome, thank you!

Also bear in mind you’re getting back $300 in travel credit. So even if you don’t use the Pre-Check or Global Entry, the fee is $250 after netting against the main benefit.
That is true. Thanks for the reminder. I definitely get more than $250 back in points. I just paid myself back for $350 for the last few months.
Nope. I had use my global entry, Lyft, and door dash, etc, so there was no benefit to the net cost. I called and downgraded to the no-fee Chase Sapphire card (not advertised) at 2pts/$1 travel and use that to keep the credit history and limit alive. I switched to a different primary card: US Bank Altitude Connect, which had a $500 signup bonus for $2k spend, no trans fees, and 4% back on travel, has, etc. $95 fee waived in Y1, plus the global entry/travel program credit. It just loses club access, really.
Points that translate to credits, gift cards (some even on sale), travel, etc.
You can call them and ask for a retention offer
I got told “nope sorry nothing can be done”.
Lol I get way more back in points and credits. But nothing you can do about it. Sometimes they will throw you some points if you complain. Happens to me.
