Ex GTer, Current IB here. I got into Booth and Kellogg’s MBA programs. If my goal is to pivot to PE in 2-3yrs, which school should I choose and why?

After every busy season, I think about leaving public accounting and/or the firm. I have 5+ years in tax. Anyone switch to audit/consulting from tax? Two busy seasons a year, with barely anytime to chill in between is exhausting. Anyone in private looking to hire someone with a background in federal tax?

Just received 2 offers that I’m weighing, both in Advertising tech:
1. Smaller firm about to be acquired by a larger one, Product Marketing role (title would be Sr. PMM)
2. FAANG, Sales Account Manager role (similar to my current role)
I have 5-6 YOE and have been in an Account Management role for most of my career - is it worth making the switch to PMM at a smaller firm or sticking with what I know at a FAANG? Both would have relatively similar comp. Thanks in advance for your input!

Question for more experienced bankers, when did you start to feel comptent at your job? For example, I am 5 months in and am still making small mistakes and getting corrected, feeling like I’m putting in the work and time but still miss things, thoughts on normal progression?

Fifth year labor and employment associate at Big4 L&E firm (think Littler) and am considering making a move into big law (think Jones Day, Goodwin, etc.) Any thoughts on if it’s worth it this late in my associate career? Also, do those big firms take 6-8 year L&E laterals?

Does anyone have any company recommendations for where I could reasonably expect to earn $80,000+ in a remote role in the US? I recently finished my MBA and have several YOE, and I’ve been targeting analyst/consulting roles after completing the Google Data Analytics certificate. Any input is appreciated.

Anyone here choose between A&M, Alix, and some other usual suspect consulting companies? What made you pick A&M? Do employees generally tend to stick around? How is the culture, decent folks or sharp elbows everywhere? Is the total comp as good as advertised or is this false advertising? A month ago the recruiter said that they are waiting on some approvals and once it is done we will be issuing the offer letter but I haven't heard back any other update since then. Accepting an offer in IBD, lateraling over from consulting. Opportunity of a lifetime for me so don’t want to lose it.
But timing is horrible. I joined the Army Reserves before this opportunity was on my radar. Interviewed over several months, got the offer, but shipping out in 1 month for training for 6 months.
Do I irreversibly shoot my career by joining and immediately going on LoA? I obviously haven’t mentioned it in the interview process. Or will this be forgotten a couple years in?
