Hi Fellow fishes, I had an hr discussion with amdocs and during salary negotiation they told we can't give more than 11 lpa, they told it's the last offer and didn't negotiate at all. My current CTC is 7 lpa and YOE: 3 years. How can I renegotiate with them. Will they not process my offer letter if I ask them to reconsider? P.S. : I really want to join amdocs. Amdocs

How much are you making right now and where? If you are being offered an associate at JPM, I’m assuming you might be working at a smaller firm. It’s common practice for bigger firms to level down when hiring from smaller firms. I did that too at the start of my career and I don’t regret it. Bigger brand names allow charging more later in career.
Working at a big law firm. My base salary is 55k with overtime (lots of hours put me up to 97k)
85k sounds low ngl
Sounds low but guessing not a T1 city, I’d say it’s a significant bump from your base and JPM is good to have on your resume. Go for it.
@OP - one good thing with the change will be that you wouldn’t have to put in “a lot of overtime”. Honestly the way they made the offer letter, it looks like they’re not seeing your current experience as hugely relevant. It’s not uncommon for firms to do so. I would think that having JPM on resume might be good. Just do a quick check on where others from your firm have gone - use LinkedIn and ask around. All the best!
Got it. I mean if the brand is gonna do good to your resume, taking a hit on the salary might help later. It’s your choice. But I did it once I took up a higher paying job at a no-name firm.
