Q: for FAANG recruiters, do candidates get a reject stamp after failing even at the later stages?
I advanced to the last stage at Facebook (Meta) around a year ago but failed on my last interview, a combination of not being familiar with the process and not having chemistry with the interviewer.
A friend who is a hiring manager recently recommended me and this time without even a HR call I received a straight up thanks but no thanks email.
Does this mean I’ve been permanently black listed?

Did you start in January? If so, it is normal at PwC. Slow promotion means saving money for the firm. As soon as I found out I won't get promoted, I applied for a job and got it. Instead of 10% or less raises I would have gotten, I got more than 40% raises. If you have good hard skills, credential and experience, you should be fine. Good luck.
Yes I started January 2019. It’s normal to be promoted after 3 years of starting in January?
Generally won't recommend to leave PA after only two years. But it's fine. I would leave awm to try something else first before I leave Pwc or PA
Don't be too hasty if you generally enjoy the work and your team. This year has been very difficult for firms and in the big scheme of things, 6 months is not too long to wait for promotion. In 5 years time, you won't even remember you had to wait a bit longer. I was held back for my manager promotion for 6 months, which felt unbearable at the time as my closest peers were promoted, but it is soon forgotten!
I left before promotion & make 36% more
Wouldn’t 2.5 years in make you and a3?
I guess I’m an A3? Not sure tbh. I started January 2019. I guess I became an A3 Jan 2021 lol
