So I've had 2 hiring managers and several recruiters from Amazon reach out to me about applying for some open positions with the company (android). I completed the coding assessment and now they want me to go through a round of 5 hour interviews next week. Is there a good chance I'll be hired if engineering managers are reaching out to me? I'm really not sure how badly I want to work for them and I don't want to be laid off months after being hired on. Anyone know what Amazon hiring is like?

CISO takes most of the heat/firing for public perception that you're making a change/taking cyber seriously
Unless you lead a response and make a predictably poor decision, you should be fine.
Depends on what level you’re operating from.
There is an extra level of leadership responsibility in the field. The higher up (CISO, MD, VP, etc) the more pressure to make the appropriate decisions or face personal liability. Target, Sony, and Adobe cyber breach litigations all included singling out individual directors who had made poor (or no…) security decisions. We are trending towards increasing personal liability for CISO-level positions in the wake of cyber damages.
You don’t want to “fake it ‘till you make it” into a Cyber leadership role. 😉

It depends. Some company cultures have toxic "find the scapegoat" vibes, where as other companies understand compromises happen + "we're all in this together" to get back up to normal operations.
