I’m currently fielding an offer with EY as a FAAS Senior 2 in San Francisco, how much can I expect to make in this role? I don’t want to short sell myself with my salary requirements.

Those who want to join FAANG: don’t you think that the upward mobility is limited? Thousands of super ambitious MBB background people with top credentials joined these firms over the last decade.

Is there any advice for networking into projects when you don’t know many people at the firm yet? I always to help on BD work when I’m on the bench, but it never turns into any billable work. Every time I have talked to a partner/senior manager I was told I don’t have the skill set they’re looking for, but I don’t know how to build up from there. If I get laid off, I have a previous colleague that started a cybersecurity company. I would love to get involved on the business side of it. Any pointers on skills that are attractive in this realm for a startup? Would be mostly (if not all) federal defense contracting clients. I’m currently in Deloitte’s cyber risk practice but my background and passion is in accounting and finance, and business operations. Graduated in 2017 so still early career.
