Regardless of MBA or no, don't settle for less than 135.
Thanks all.
K1- totally depends on your previous experience etc. Also, I believe lateral hires have a greater negotiation capacity.
How does one do off cycle adjustment? I need it!!!
EY2, they will only act when u tell them there is an offer in ur pocket. In my experience, they try really hard to get u to stay if u going to another consulting firm (and obviously if they like you).
If you're switching and no MBA, get at least 115. Or above.
Advisory ? Don't accept anything less than 130
first year manager, no mba 113
130-135 for a senior associate? Wtf!?
K1, supervising seniors in EY at the cusp of promotion routinely make 135 ish. I know many who do, I myself was one few years ago.
Ey4, did you work somewhere else before EY?
I make 90 and am getting promoted to manager this year 🤔
In tech MC
EY3, yes I did plus was an MBA hire but that won't change my answer. High performers who grow up in EY often ask for off cycle adjustments to catch them up to other experienced hires.
Off cycle adjustments? Wow
Same
I had an off cycle conversation and was told they could not increase my compensation right away and I'll have to wait until next year. Best time to negotiate is when you join the firm. If you find much better opportunities outside, take them and come back. (Note to self: time to quit )
Did they ask you to prove you have an offer? Lol
Yep, they wanted a copy. Lol. Wasn't happening. I just sent a partial screenshot of the $ ;)
That's kind of unethical. Was it real @ey4?
It's unethical sure but everyone wants to ensure u aren't bluffing. However, I wouldn't advise anyone to forward the competing offer letter along, or even send full screenshots. Mask all the imp shit and send just the bare minimum.
