Spill the tea.
Every top 25 firm is like this. Mine somehow thought we’d able to get 15% revenue increase for FY 2024 without any major acquisitions. Now top brass is pissed it hasn’t happening.
Pretty sure our C Suite just SALYed it and made the growth leaders back into it so the numbers work.
I don’t know how they could have used actual data and analysis to get to 15% growth.
Are they planning a new way to separate audit and tax that costs another $500M?
Chief
They will never care about you, just use you as much as you let them. Many people work to their breaking point. Be smart and set boundaries, then bounce as soon as it's not benefiting you. Get a few years if you can and then leave.
Chief
Exactly... so why work harder than you need to? Do the least amount of work for the most amount of benefits. Big 4 is only good for getting the resume boost and then it's time to go.

Well, you never really know what you can’t do until you fail
Carmine?
I have no idea what you are referring to. What do you mean?
I mean paying larger amounts of money to staff and seniors hoping that it creates more business is a lot like vision 2020 or project Everest. When the overall economies retracting and you have the scandal in Australia makes me think this huge pay increase just like the other two initiatives will backfire and cost more than who it’s gonna help.
VISION 2020 is glaring at you now, pal!
😳
spill the tea mate. What's going on over there.
Oh, if OP is targeting about revenue targets then that makes sense. But, there’s the ambitious goal and then the revised realistic target. Not hitting the ambitious goal is typical. But not hitting the revised is where it impacts the employees (similar to this past year).
It’s a stretch goal. But agree generally. It’s all politics though. Who knows what the underlying reasons are for different decisions at any B4.
