EY offered me 90K+ 5k sign on as a 1st year senior in general FAAS. MCOL. Currently making 70k in audit 1st year senior. The money is good but part of me really thinks I want to go the finance route because I enjoy the more analytical side. I’m so conflicted I have some other interviews coming up PE analyst, asset management analyst, and project analyst. Am I stupid for wanting to take something entry level in finance over a high paying accounting advisory job?

I’ve been approached my by company that one of our large clients (who im currently project managing for) is looking for a consultant of sorts, and if they hire us, I’d be the first person asked to take on this consultant role. This isn’t something my company typically offers and would greatly change the scope of my role. Has anyone ever taken on a role like this? If so, were you able to negotiate a percentage of the consulting fee? Or was it a bump in salary during the project?

If you make it to senior manager at big four can you leave and become partner or director at mid size firm? Is this hard to do?
