WLB in M&A in general can be challenging. Lot of fires to put out, a lot of high client visibility results in a lot of pressure.
Can’t speak to D, but at EYP the leadership has set a very positive tone at the top to encourage wellness and flexibility. You have to manage up of course, but my project teams respect my time boundaries.
WLB is better in EY but Deloitte brand name is stronger IMO so may lead to better exit opps.
EY2 - I think so, especially since they merged it with TAS and diluted the brand.
Here's the thing about sign on bonuses. If you hate your job you'll either feel stuck or have to pay back. So unless you need that money or this is your dream job, I wouldn't anchor any decision around that.
EYP TSE probably does have a better WLB. If you were going to another arm of EY, I'd say Deloitte has a better name but Parthenon really has a great name and arguably the same or better reputation.
Having said that EY as a company may have alot of more red tape in terms of independence and resources.
And remember at D, the bonus quoted is what only 10% of people will be eligible for. You should plan on ~a third of that!
Ey is not harder to get into than Harvard, Deloitte is. Need I say more!? 🙇
