Which offer should I pick? All in Chicago: Protiviti - Tech Consulting (Software Solution practice) 69k Good work life balance (40 hr a wk) & good culture EY - FSO Tech Risk Advisory 76k Deloitte - Financial & Risk Advisory 75k I like that Protiviti has a better work life balance and the culture seems very friendly but the prestige of Big 4 seems nice too.
We are realizing that a leverage point to improve our release process is improving sprint discipline. Excellence in sprint discipline is not part of my team's culture. I don't think training is enough. I'm looking to understand how our organization might elevate sprint discipline as an important value and make it part of our culture. Anyone face this and have advice?
I always see people moving from big firms to smaller ones, but not the other way around. As my first job I am currently working in a small investment firm with a very relaxed corporate culture but eventually I’d like to switch to consulting or a big corp/ bank. Thoughts - my kid got selected in a gifted program and it’s 1.5 hour drive from our house. We also have a baby who goes to daycare near our house( 15 mins ). Is it worth to send my preschooler to the gifted program ? It’s only for 6 months and after that my baby would go to daycare near the preschool itself. I am just not sure whether a 1.5 commute in morning and evening is worth the school for 2’kids to go through and will reduce our family time everyday.

Consulting during corona - I’m interesting in switching to consulting and interviewed with a few firms (pre-COVID) and got an offer plus a few offers put on pause. It would be helpful to get clarity on what the industry is like now and if anyone recommends still making the switch or staying put (especially interested in Deloitte, Accenture, PWC, EY human capital practices)

I've seen a lot of posts around APA and utilisation. Please correct my understanding if I'm wrong. APAs are only for those who have tested +ve or are taking care of family members who have tested +ve and cannot be used for any other situation. If that's true and you/your family have defeated Covid, why the fuss over utilisation? P.S. plz let me know if there's another use of APAs I'm not aware of
