Hello everyone, need to get some help in deciding whether to accept an offer from Meta. Offer given for IC5 role in privacy and compliance. Base as 140k with 90k equity over 4 years of span. 15% joining bonus.
This is exactly as my current package in my current company (minus equity) and I am expecting a promotion soon.
Is the compensation provided by Meta too low?

Freeze so internally we don’t expect to promote or move roles, they are still gonna try to get people externally for a good deal
Depending on location that could be on the low side but hard to say how much they are willing to budge given the current state of things here.
For a data point I came in as an IC5 in a non tech role 3 years back at 165k + 90 or 100k equity (I forget which) and a 10k signing bonus.

What’s your location? That’s a solid IC5 non tech offer. I’m a D1 and my IC5s that are in Chicago, Austin, etc (non Bay Area) make around that much.
That being said….not sure Meta would be top of my list right now

Honestly right on the money for IC5 depending on location IMO. I received an IC4 in people ops that was around 170 TC in a tier 3 city
You can likely squeeze some base and equity out but they tend to be pretty standardized unless you have another offer

Okay so, seriously …when considering meta, was it the layoffs that got you excited, or the whole thing where they encourage lynchings because it means more ad views?
