Facing a career decision: do I take the pay raise, or the position that I'm more interested in?

I think it depends. How many other things are equal between the two or different?

If you have no interest in the higher paying job that seems foolish to chase the money. If you’re just less interested in that one but it fits you, then you have to decide if the gap in interest is worth the extra money.

If the company with the pay raise has better culture, benefits, training, etc, maybe it’s worth it. If you have a path at the one you’re more interested in to make as much as the other job, follow your interests.

What are the roles and what’s the pay gap?

What’s the trajectory of either option?

Hi Fishes,
I cleared LTI all rounds and in HR discussion we came on mutual agreement for 16lpa .I have 7 years of experience and they gave me Specialist - Data Engineering(P3) role. And we agreed I will join with after 60 as I had to serve 60 days notice period. I was waiting for offer letter and when I received the offer letter I was shocked to see that CTC mentioned was 14LPA and joining date was only 15days from now ,which is way early.

Hello fam! Hope you’ll are enjoying your Sunday!

I faked my resume I mean my contracting firm did and I didn’t have choice and I got the job. Now my client wants to offer me a full time position. I kind of feel like they trust me with the work I’m doing and also considering my past experiences to offer me a full time and moreover it’s only been 3 months.

I know it’s a little unusual but what do you guys think/suggest me to do in this situation?!

Just graduated with Aerospace Engineering degree. I am interviewing for multiple positions at once with different companies. One gave me an offer and they want me to get back to them within 2 days. I still have other interviews scheduled and some for higher paying jobs (around 90k) What should I do?
I do like the company that gave me an offer but their base pay was 80k and they went up to 85k. Is asking for them to match the 90k too much? The position is associate systems engineer.
