I have a possible opportunity at Protiviti. Coming from big4 and wondering if Protiviti has fairly similar perks. Iâve read the 2022 benefits guide and it gave a oddly low PTO count of 16 days. Is this true and what about a holiday disconnect in the December time period? Are there any other hidden perks that are awesome? Already heard WLB is better and the culture, but I feel like Iâve gotta find that out first hand. Protiviti

@M1 Not in Hong Kong though - COL is comparable to the Bay/NYC
Lol my $52k SC offer was in HK so you can imagine why I turned it down. Itâs such a one-dimensional city industry-wise that you wonât get anywhere near US salaries outside of finance. MBB salaries in Asia are generally much higher than Big 4 though (yes thatâs true here as well but the pay differential between US and Asia also seems to be smaller)
Housing is the main expense in HK â other costs of living are generally cheaper than cities in the US
Post MBA? ~100k USD
@D1 if even. I was offered SC at a Big 4 for about half of that (granted, no MBA), to which I basically told them to take a hike.
Was offered about 150 base. Money goes a lot further in Asia than the US though, itâs not a terrible option.
D2 - it depends. If you live like an expat, yes. Anything less than full western style, 100% English speaking areas though, and life is much cheaper than NY/SF.
