I would go elsewhere sounds like they are taking advantage. Especially that remark about you being lucky to have gotten a raise at all
With due respect, I'm not sure I'm in agreement here. If the facts are accurate, the NP alone made the company 405,000 more than a team of three other people in the practice. Likely, not a comprehensive picture. However, I will say this. For every excuse an employer has to not properly compensate production, they have 3-5 opportunities to make higher level adjustments to find a way to make it work. My experience is that this is a mindset issue at best. If management has an easy excuse not to recognize their top performers today, they will find a way to continue the trend tomorrow. There is a reason top performers always get paid. Because otherwise...you lose them to someone else that will.
I agree with FP NP 1. I’m more concerned about the response you received than anything else.
The amount of overhead a practice experiences can be higher than you think. Same with malpractice costs (does your employer cover tail?). However, a dismissive response to legiment concerns expresses suggests a dismissive attitude about your value.
I agree.
Collections should always be about 200% of salary due to practice expenses. There are office staff, billers, coders, liability insurance, management costs.
Is $124,000 your salary only or salary plus benefits? What do your benefits cost your employer? Good benefits can be worth $30,000 to $40,000 more depending on your circumstances.
I would say my benefits package is about $14,500 on their part a year I shoulder most of the costs for my retirement and heath insurance premiums ~$1200 a month is my share.
