FB fam, I want to go back to industry after 3 years in consulting. Which is a better choice: hands-on tech role (Software Engineer, I haven’t coded in a while) or a Program Manager role. Target FAANG!

Program Manager. What I’ve noticed about coding is that techniques keep changing and the edge/speed is gone once you’re out of your 20s, but also, you went into consulting for a reason. You never needed to leave industry if what you wanted to do is code. Program Manager is a mix of your coding background and your business facing background.

I am applying for my FL CPA license. The work experience form asks for the start date, end date, and number of weeks employed. If I started working full time 7/20/20, do I just count 52 weeks and put that as my end date (i.e. 7/19/21)? Or should I put today (making it 56 weeks)?

Job transition question: I recently accepted an offer for a new role with Merrill Lynch, the following day I was fired from my previous employer. I haven’t filled out the updated work history background check info yet. The reason for termination was due to performance expectations not being met. Should I reach out to my new employer and let them know that I’ve been terminated? Should I just put the termination update on the background check form and leave it at that? Wondering what I should do.

In negotiation for a Manager Role for BNY Mellon (grade K). Looking for some guidance on how hard I can push the issue with increasing my offer.
My convo with the HR recruiter was that he would push for $130k plus a sign on bonus. Offer is coming back at $125k with no bonus. Exiting my current position I'll be leaving a 3% pay increase, $12k bonus payout next month and full remote work on the table. Those considered it would be a lateral financial move for the 2023 year.

How do I ask for a role change? I currently work as a designer for a company and when I have down time I work on social media for the company. Social media doesn’t seem to be a huge focus at the moment but there is a lot of potential in the industry. How do I go about asking to run social media full time instead?

I started a small LLC on the side. My company is getting it's first client this month.

Wondering if any 🐟 have recommended resources on setting up initial consulting business thru an LLC.

Books, websites, tax strategies etc.

My LLC is already incorporated, but looking for guidance with the next steps (creating contracts, invoices, etc)
