When you sign up on bonvoy credit card, does the 15 elite nights get credited when you get approved and sign up for the card? Or after you spend the $x amount to earn the benefits?
Have 12 days of PTO left for the year and have already taken plenty of staycations. Assuming all precautions are taken, is it still heavily frowned upon to take a flight somewhere outdoorsy?
Anyone ever flying in to ORD should plan for an extra 30 minutes of travel time taxing to the gate 🙄
💳Credit card help💳 Starting a new job in two weeks. The new company does not give a corporate card, so I get to pick my own. If things were normal and I was traveling / spending as usual, getting the CSR or AMEX platinum would make sense. But with things the way they are, what should I do? Work related expenses will be minimal, but Im moving/furnishing an apartment so personal spend will be decent. TIA!
LaGuardia terminal C and D uber pick up staging area — always a cluster. I wonder, is LGA intentionally trying to screw uber and lyft over? This feels like the George Washington Bridge scandal
CLEAR at IAD and DCA. Is it worth signing up? Lots of international and domestic travel coming up. Thoughts fish? Thanks!!
Noob question, i have around 100k United miles for round trip to India . Which provides better bang for buck using miles to book economy ticket or use the miles for upgrade
Have got 400K Marriott Bonvoy points carried over since Feb 2019, when do they expire? If I can’t use them by end of year (if that is when they expire), can I transfer them or use them in any other way?
SO and I are asking a weekend trip to San Diego from Chicago in early feb. Best SPG property? Don’t really care about luxury, more convenience and location. Also do we need a car? Thanks!
Long delta delay, best way to get points? Call or online? Why do I say to communicate the inconvenience?
Anybody else sometimes feel like they're the only imperfect one at work in a sea of perfection? Thoughts on how to combat that?
Should I cancel travel to Florida this weekend?
This is about to be the first month in my life where I'm unable to pay off my credit card statement balance (about 2.5k leftover) and I'm feeling like such a failure. Any tips on how to mitigate the impact of this and get out of the hole asap?
6 hour delay @ CLT Airport - If another frumpy woman in sweats and a puffy neck pillow hits me with her tacky rollerbag...
Hi everyone! I’m switching internally to my company’s LA office (from Boston). I only need to be in the office 1 or 2x per week and am toying around with the idea of living in San Diego and commuting up that one day. It’s likely be a 2.5hr drive or so each way, which seems like a lot. Can anyone speak to whether or not I’d go insane with that setup or if there are ways to make it more tolerable? I just have more family / friends in SD and would prefer to live there if possible :) thank you!!
How is JFK pre-check line Monday mornings?

ATL Fishies - suggestions for a weekend visit? Where to stay, where to eat and what to see? Will be there with wife and 1 year old.
Any Cape Town restaurant recommendations? Not a foody, but would like good recommendations for high-ish end steak and sea food
Y'all. Hyatt and Hilton are doing instant status matches right now. Go get it. No such thing as having too many statuses.

Looking for a mentor and or general guidance to discuss career progression within Human Resources. I currently have 3 years of HR experience and I am looking to tap into another function of HR, specifically compensation and benefits. To date I’ve dabbled in recruitment and am excited to learn about your HR career progression!
Had a recruiter that said they’d reach out by a certain day on if I made it to the next round of interviews but I haven’t heard from them yet. Should I keep following up orrrr take that as a no?
Is it worth taking up an offer at PwC as a Manager for the same salary I am currently making in my public sector industry job ? The hiring manager at PwC has assured of a promotion to SM in the immediate future.
Can we talk about sabotage? It’s not talked about enough yet it happens often in our field. I’d love to hear other’s encounters. For context- by sabotage, I mean someone has purposefully acted in a way that hurts you in a career/promotion/etc sense. Also knowingly. Most importantly... how do you move on from it? How do you turn the negative into fuel ⛽️ to overcome and later on (down the line) become stronger...and maybe destroy them? Kidding to a slight degree
What are some team building activities you have initiated for the purposes of getting more visibility from leadership? Received feedback that not many know my capabilities outside of core project team
Where can I see my position in the upgrade list for delta? Haven’t seen in app or website.
I was working with a racist bigot client before covid hit and tonight I'm especially glad I don't have to fly in to see his stupid face in the morning. I'm glad none of us have to go into an office after nights like tonight.
How many points for sitting on a runway for 2 hours to de-ice to then be told we need to switch our pilots and have been sitting on the runway for over 30 mins for a gate crew to let us off the plane?
Having grown up in the lower middle class and not with much money family wise, I always thought one day when I made six figures I would have tons of money coming in, but lately I am discouraged with my “take home pay”. Combined my wife and I make about $275k, we max both our 401k accounts out and after all taxes, and other deductions we take home roughly $150k. Don’t get me wrong this is a great amount. I just always dreamed my take home would be more. Anyone else feel this way? We lose over 40%
Traditional 401k or Roth 401k? Which one do you guys recommend and what % should be contributed for either? Deloitte
Can any BCG fish give me a quick run down of expected time at each level from Associate -> PL and the base salary associated with it? Can’t seem to find much on google
Would you apply through a diversity recruiting link or an MD referral link assuming you have referrals from both paths?
