Twice a week as a team and once a month or more as needed for 1:1.
I HATE meeting 1:1 with direct reports routinely. I prefer organic meetings when items come up, with the monthly staff meeting.
1:1s once a week, team meetings 2x a week (different goals- one is a team status/business & project updates, the other is craft focused for skill building). Otherwise we meet as needed. I try to sit in on key reviews, meetings with stakeholders and other meetings where juniors need more experienced support/cover. Our 1:1s are focused on growth/goals/coaching or major project blockers mostly.
I am remote and we do One-on-ones once a week. Then we meet as needed. I do a team meeting once a week.
Mentor
I meet weekly with my direct report and I meet bi-weekly with my own boss.
But end up on around 3-5 additional calls per week with these people for different projects/ cadence calls so we have consistent interaction weekly even while remote.
