Finding it very hard to find a permanent position. I left my job in August of 2022 because of commuting- took a year long assignment as a contract employee (don’t like what I’m doing figured it was something different I’d give it a try)-even told recruiter that I can only do a year - I was told it’s ok they always hire after a year - still a contract employee almost 2 years / I’ve been invited to apply for positions by recruiters and they ghost you (not answering an email or text).

Has anyone else had a mentor (assigned to them by the Company) who seemed to have it out for you? I mean downright sabotage to make you look bad left and right. I didn’t realize it at first. She was fake friendly, but she was discrete too. Some of the executives thought she was amazing, but I had to clean up her work all the time. She wasn’t above me either on the chain of command. Later I found out she had tried for the exec assistant role and they didn’t choose her, they wanted me instead.

Hi- I’m an hourly AA, been on the role for 6 months now and it’s my first AA job. I did not get a raise when I took the job because it was technically a demotion ( I was a team leader at a contact center). I assist two VPs and now they want to add a third because they’re looking for the “ 3:1 ratio “. Should I ask for a raise? Is this normal?
