(I will have my Supervision designation in a few months.) Should I negotiate a higher salary now or when I obtain my new license? My spec book gets me interviews for junior and mid copywriter positions, but when they ask me what kind of work I’m doing at my current agency, the whole conversation goes south. They either become immediately disinterested, or beam up and suddenly the interview is only about an open pharma role, which is more frustrating because if I want to stay in health I’d go for copy supervisor roles.

I’m coming back to work from maternity leave soon. The daycares I’m on the waitlists for won’t have an opening for 2 more months after that. What do you think is the best set up for the 2 interim months without daycare? Hire a nanny to come to the house (convenient but SO expensive), or do a flex arrangement with reduced hours? I’m leaning towards the flex arrangement and either trying to work early in the day and then watching the baby while my husbands at work. Any thoughts or experiences?
