So I’m currently interviewing for another position, to be a business development specialist at a relatively large tech company in PA. I have about a years worth of experience. Indeed estimates the salary to be between 60k-80k, I was wondering what I should expect?

Do tech consultants make market rates? Maybe my perception is a bit warped because I’m getting paid 85k 3.5 YOE. Jumping to industry as a software engineer and will make 165k. Are consulting companies just shafting tech folks?

Does getting snapshot at partially next level in 4 perimeter and next level in 1 perimeter will be enough to get promotion? I have received similar kind of 5 snapshot. ( some cases next grade in 2 perimeter)

Fishes need suggestions. I have been put on PIP for bad performance. I am being a part of 6 months project and project is about to complete with backend work done. I took more time for some tasks because of not knowing the technology so they highlighted that and my senior send emails to HR to put me on PIP. What should I do ? Acknowledge PIP ? Or resign? I recently discovered pay band information given to me by the HR generalist I'm working with on hiring was outdated and updated bands had been released over the summer (prior to my hire date). The outdated information had led me to believe a prime candidate was out of range. Aside from incompetence, can anyone think of a reason why HR might have withheld information about the pay bands? I assume mgrs see the full monty when it comes to pay...right?
