Yes you can at D. I have seen couple of examples.

Can you file an EB1 or an entrepreneur GC (EB5) since you're technically owning the firm?

like

No

like

At Grant Thornton, I was told no. May be they played me to not promote me but GT truly is a partnership so, may be not.

Can you begin GC process ASAP ? Or are you non ROW ?

Non ROW, long GC wait.

At EY, you can become one as long as the perm is filed at SM/SD stage

Yes you can make partner at Big 4. Even on an H1B visa

I’m guessing the challenge is PERM which attracts more scrutiny if you own part of the sponsoring employer. The question here is whether promotion to partner require a new PERM to be filed, and if so can you overcome the scrutiny from DOL now that you own part of the sponsoring firm. Should probably consult an immigration lawyer.

Deloitte question. I have always gotten a raise each year, the only question I ask is how much of a raise do I get. But I’m hearing from former Deloitte folks, it is naive to expect annual raises each year however small/big they are? And how does this play in Deloitte consulting vs advisory? Do one tend to withhold annual raises in base salary over the other, or is this just a deloitte culture thing? Looking at exit opportunities all over. So lmk! I’d Rather get a small raise than none at all.

Ladies how do you manage your relationship when your spouse holds you to what you promised you would do before you got married but then you realize you can’t do it. I had promised my husband I would fast with him for an entire day on a specific religious holiday, but when I did for the first time I had stomach pains, headache, and nausea.
