Hi ladies! I just got an offer and want the insight I don’t get from my non-mom friends. My background is in investigations but I’m a consultant and not really hugely passionate about it. I got an offer from Deloitte to do background investigations but it would be a pay cut. Not huge…and OT would make up some of the difference. The work/life balance would drastically improve and the guaranteed PTO/holidays would be a huge improvement over having to consider utilization. Help me weigh my options!

Just got offered a remote job with a startup for $75k base + 2k stock options, and benefits (100% covered insurance, wellness, 401(K) (no match 🥲) and tons more, BUT I enjoy the company I’m at and the people. The company I’m at wants me to move to either NYC or SF. I would taking almost a 11% pay cut but at least I wouldn’t pay rent or get taxed NYC/CA tax since I’d be in Florida! I interned at IJ in law school which seemed to be the only one doing it at the time, but I’m sure there are other orgs (I’m in Texas, but national is fine too).
