What do you mean? We’re on salary...
Wow what firm is this? Never heard of that
PWC1 - I agree. I feel like I get paid more as my meals are covered, and I get to keep my travel points.
At my firm after so many nights we get a bonus for overnight travel
I’m guessing you don’t have to travel very often then? I’ve traveled quite a bit this past year. Even had a two week international trip. In a way I feel like I do get paid more when I travel since they pay for most of my expenses while traveling. I’m in internal audit.
It’s been about 8 weeks. It depends on the person for sure- all expenses are paid for as well. I thought compensation for overnight travel was a common thing, so I’m shocked to hear it’s not and feeling much more thankful!
It’s a regional firm
I use my personal card for everything and then it gets reimbursed so I keep cash back as well as any points I get. I also just started working within the last few months so 8 weeks is more than it seems
In a firm like ours it’s a pain in the arse to use your personal card as opposed to the level of automation we have on corporate cards. We can pay a small annual Amex fee though to keep the points for ourselves. But yeah, being away from home using no utilities or paying for meals etc you def make more. As long as you’re single without pets it’s awesome
I meant that I get to keep the frequent flyer miles and hotel points - we also have to use the Corporate Card for everything.
Is it Plante Moran
I know Moss Adams has a bonus for auditors after the first x number of days of travel.
