Hi Fellow fishes, I had an hr discussion with amdocs and during salary negotiation they told we can't give more than 11 lpa, they told it's the last offer and didn't negotiate at all. My current CTC is 7 lpa and YOE: 3 years. How can I renegotiate with them. Will they not process my offer letter if I ask them to reconsider? P.S. : I really want to join amdocs. Amdocs

You’re not going to find PTO policies (as well as total days off including holidays and disconnect days) as generous as B4 in industry.
Rising Star
When I left PA, it was easier to negotiate getting more PTO than to get more salary. Lots of industry companies tie your amount of PTO to your years at THAT company rather than your level. So a new VP gets 1 week, an experienced shipping worker might have 6 weeks.
This is pretty standard in industry. Maybe can be up to three weeks but usually that tops. Plus they don’t have summer or winter shut down. Actually longer PTO is top perk of PA
19 days for years 1-3 for me then goes up
2 weeks is pretty standard starting out unfortunately. I was able to negotiate 3 weeks because coming from EY (prior to 'unlimited' vaca) I had nearly 5 weeks.
But also separately, I get a 3 family days, 1 floater holiday, and unlimited sick days.
I had two weeks plus federal holidays, that including sick days, etc.
We get 20 days plus 6 personal and 2 floating holidays
I get 3 weeks a year PTO plus 10 company holidays.
In big 4 you get lower salary but great flexibility (times off), always a trade off depending what you need
There is a fair amount of flexibility in industry. I’m in accounting / financial reporting and I can pretty much take time off whenever I want, with the exception of around quarter-ends when the financial statements are prepared. The trade off is the limited amount of PTO (I get 3 weeks).
I have unlimited PTO at my job and they’re super flexible about accepting it even if it’s put in on short notice. Pretty much depends on the company you find
unlimited. i take off 6-8 weeks per year
14 days is standard.
I think it also depends on your state. All of the industry accounting jobs I’ve had in California start with 2 weeks vacation, but it generally does not include sick time (state law). Many places will give you another week at 5 yrs. Currently at a non-profit and we have 14 paid holidays, that’s a nice perk, as I can schedule vacation around holidays and not have to use as much!
