At what point is it considered optimal to make the jump from Big4 to FAANG? I've been a Tech Consultant at EY for a little under a year and, while I like the company very much, I do very little actual technical work. Experienced hire, Senior, 130k base. I'm very tempted to jump over to Amazon (despite their reputation for frugality). Do I attempt to make the switch now or wait until I get promoted to Manager?
My aim is to crack FAANG in future, keeping that in mind, which product based offer among the following would be the best to accept in terms of the value it adds to my profile (compensation is secondary):
2. Open Financial (one of India's 100 unicorns)
3. Evertz (offering permanent WFH)
Tata Consultancy Cognizant Wipro Infosys Deloitte Boeing @Amazon Google Microsoft Adobe PwC EY Evertz Microsystems Ltd.
Hi, I've been meaning to apply to the FAANG RPM programs and similar but have been facing a tough time getting shortlists. Could you guys please help me with some resume tips and suggestions; and possibly some constructive criticism on how my current one is (attaching herewith)? Google, Uber, Spotify, Visa, Facebook (Meta) RPM/APM to name a few. Thank you!
Hi All, has anyone used a resumé writer and got through to interview at any of the FAANG companies in the US? If so, I’d love a recommendation for the CV writer you have used!
I’m qualified/over qualified for every role I’ve applied for with referrals and getting 0 interviews. Maybe it’s the CV the problem…. 🤷🏻♀️
Do FAANG companies have rankings within eachother? Ex: is Google >> FB >> Nflix? Or does it not really matter
I am a data engineer with 3.5 years of experience in designing & developing large scale data solutions in big data space. I have been part of a retail based product development team in TCS.
My skillsets are Python, Spark, SQL, DWH, Azure Cloud etc
Currently I am looking for a break through into product based companies.
My last working day is 22nd July 2022.
If anyone can help me to get into any FAANG+ companies I will be really grateful to them.
I just left Amazon and would like to start applying for other faang companies. Any suggestions on where to start?
Anyone know what comp and wlb are like at FAANG companies? Is the wlb worse than other industries?
How difficult is it to prepare for a job at FAANG Companies? Will Cognizant name on resume impact anything?
How much do you think the government could accomplish if they had the in house development power that FAANG companies do?
2yrs of post-undergrad experience at D and have offers from two FAANG companies. Worth it to stick it out for a couple more years to open up more offers down the road, or should I get out while I can?
Do any of the FAANG companies sponsor new H1B visas? I am on L1 visa and want to change companies but see no option :(
For those who have worked at multiple FAANG companies, what are the biggest differences between them?
Expecting to make around 100k TC with 2 YOE and an MS in the DC area.
Data scientist, with actual ML experience (not deep learning, but otherwise working deep with the algorithms of classical techniques), not just basic business intelligence.
Is this comp low for non-FAANG companies?
Hey fishes, hope you are doing great. I'm a DevOps/sre Engineer, with 12 YOE in the UK. I'm currently working in a Reputed tech company. Not FAANG(Facebook, AWS, apple, Netflix,Google). I would like to pursue my career in these above similar top tech companies. Would like to know your opinions on preparation and what kind of salaries can be expected and is there any WLB.
preparation: I'm sure that I'm bad at datastructures and algos.
But my role has nothing to do with too much SD
Pls help with ur suggestions. I am confused between 2 offers.
1. Tokopedia- expecting an offer of 22-23 fixed, offer not released yet. (Techstack in company-Golang) will have to switch completely to Go.
2. Aristocrat Technologies-have an offer of 18.5(fixed 17.5).(Techstack-Typescript) will have to change my tech-stack partially.
My question is should I goto Aristocrat and try for a match or is Tokopedia offer better? How r they both as a company?

Poll! Been saving for a while and undecided about what to go with. What would be your next purchase?
Any Scimitar 🐠 or folks familiar with Scimitar? A colleague at EY just accepted a role there and claims the total comp is 40% more than his total comp at EY and he was at the very top of the senior consultant pay band as an MBA hire. The folks on LinkedIn look like a bunch of former PwCers.
18.6.. LOL 😂

I notice many PEs use more than one firm for FDD. Besides one firm may not have the capacity to take all the deals from the PE, any other reasons why they more than one firm? And how do they decide which firm to use for a deal?
I am working as a devops engineer with 3.5+ years of experience, thinking of switching now, my current CTC is 18LPA, have an offer from TCS of 20LPA, should I consider the offer or should I look out for more options, and greater CTC?

Home Address faaaaar away from Home Office
I'm contemplating going through my company's process of changing my primary residence to a middle-america state with lower COL. The office that I'd remain reporting to is in a HCOL area. The interesting thing is that the new area is tiered at same level as my current area.
Have any fish had experience doing this? Was it worth the occasional flight back to your home office? Any noticeable difference in your taxes at the end of the year?

My spouse works for a company and team where one gender dominates the workforce. Think 90%+. On team calls, i hear my spouse openly mocking his/her direct manager in front of a someone that reports to my spouse, saying that the direct manager is new, inept, provides illogical statements, “you know [him/her]… always illogical” etc. i think this is a dangerous behavior since, if this someone was to share this with the manager, i think it would do great damage. Am i overstepping my boundary

I had a case interview for MBB specialist role but didn’t excel at the math part as I thought I would. I’m generally good with math, I just had a lapse in judgment for one particular part of the case… I got the rest fairly right and landed a good conclusion + had positive interaction with interviewer: Is there a chance I make it through?
