For the recruiters who screen their friends for a role, how much different is your screening call than the others?

Hey all, having issues with interviewing this year. I’ve been passed over every opportunity I really want and I’m unsure how to regroup and move forward. I’m really trying to break into method development roles and I haven’t had the opportunity to do so with my analytical experience. A lot of my HPLC and LCMS experience is with already established methods. Any tips?

Can someone tell me how many days does it take for the initial screening to happen after applying.

Also, how much time will it take for all the process to happen ( screening + interview + final discussion).

About three months ago, I was applying to find a new job. A month later, I got an offer, came work for this firm. I am not feeling like this would be a great environment for me. So I accepted a job interview this week but when I sent them the resume was 3 months ago so i didnt have my current job on there. Should I tell them my job has changed since? I am worried that if i dont tell them, they will find out when doing background check.

How is Flipkart for Work life balance? I have ~5 years of exp and hold an offer of 32 + Stocks. Also the expectation is to know Java but during the interview process , there was no discussion of Java or any questions asked. Although the team has asked me to invest some time in learning Java but I’m skeptical about all of this as the position is Data Engineer II so not sure how the expectations will change.
