For those that stuck with your starting firm for more than a decade, what made you stay? Getting a little uneasy knowing all the firings that are going to happen in a week or two. While safe personally, progression looks tough going forward, though the grass is certainly not greener in other firms.

Has anyone ever posted a general marketing position? We have an open position on our marketing team but we are unsure what type of position to offer. Which role is safer during a recession? TAS or VAL?

I was hired within the last year as a site supervisor. I did well my first few projects with the company. They asked if I’d be interested in transitioning into a construction manager role. I agreed. Now I still am the site supervisor on projects but I’m also doing all the construction manger duties on the project as well. Essentially 2 jobs for one salary. We have yearly reviews in December but no talks of raise have been discussed. Any help on approaching this to my boss?
