I'll be joining tw as UI Lead, soon.
I'm a javascript/react developer since inception of my career & haven't worked much on CICD/JENKINS and similar technology.
Should I be worried that as a lead I don't know these and will it affect by job security?
Ps- I'm good at UI,js, react etc.

Hi Folks,
Hope you are doing well, I need valuable suggestion on few of my queries.
I had joined KPMG(KGS) on April 2022, during the interview i have been told that i would be working on Java Backend Development as my background belongs to same technology and my interview was also happened on Java/Spring/Microservices; but they put me on Low-Code / No code Platform and its totally tool based work. I am frustrated with the current work as i didnt find anything productive to learn.Continued in com KPMG @

Due to burnout, I just took an unpaid six month sabbatical and traveled a bunch. And also sat on my ass at home a bunch. I'm back at work and am actually excited to be there again. Getting some perspective really helped me not feel like I wasn't trapped or needed an immediate exit plan.
Key is to accept that whatever you'll do next, you won't make as much money. And it's ok. Your mental health is worth it. The way I see it: how much am I willing to spend to not want to blow my brains out every day? Half of my salary? Great. Anyway I've found that the more you earn, the more you spend. "I hate my life so much that I'm going to spend $2,000 on this beautiful table to make me feel better." I would recommend trying different things, taking classes, volunteering...to find your path. Everything is a stepping stone to your next life. Good luck!
I'm saving up as much as possible and have a long-term investment plan. I want to get out of advertising by the time i'm 45. Might keep doing some after that but hopefully it will no longer be my main gig 🤞
the overwhelming sense of relief I felt after recently getting laid off was an eye-opener for me. the relentless stress of this industry has been slowly killing me for awhile.
thank God I was fairly smart about saving money and I can now afford to take the rest of the year off. and that may be my plan moving forward - work for a few years, saving every penny I can, then take a long sabbatical before picking up the next gig.
Starting to invest my time into my side hustle/taking classes in a potential field if I have to go to advertising to another discipline
Web development bootcamp. Full on career change.
Take a sabbatical then freelance
Do some personal projects. Freelance for a bit. Remind yourself why you were passionate in the first place.
