For those who've recently interviewed for senior technical roles (Platform Architect, Solutions Architect, Principal Engineer level) at financial services firms — what's the interview process looking like these days?
- How heavy is the system design round vs. coding?
- Are they testing cloud platform knowledge (Azure/AWS) in depth or keeping it high level?
- How much weight are they putting on certifications vs. hands-on experience?

Why do companies do this? I interviewed with a company. They loved my work and told me that I’m going to start the following week. They made me sign all of the onboarding papers and poof ghosted me! 🤦‍♀️ I feel so down right now! And I feel like I won’t be able to ever land a job!

When you recruiters say at the end of a 15 min call.
“I will get back to you by the end of this week” does that really mean “your not right for this position”? Because this whole thing is a waste of time. I’ve did these calls with 3 recruiters and is yet to hear back from someone. Today would be the 4th recruiter that I’ve spoken to. Does this practice annoy you guys just as much as it does us? My dream career is to be a technical recruiter but this whole thing is discouraging.
