Four layoffs in four years. I think I’m finally done with this business.

It’s so nice that every agency laying off people, have those left standing (and other agencies) trying to hustle jobs for their unemployed friends, but there are also a ton of people who were unemployed prior to Covid...so no severance, job hunting lot longer, and not earning income for longer time...hurting even MORE due to quarantine.

Any creatives impacted by Forsman Bodenfors layoffs? That agency does beautiful, powerful work.

Is it ok to tell your boss/job that you're looking to transition to product, and tell recruiters you're looking for roles in product before you've quit your other job? So I recently interviewed for an associate PM role with my current company. I’ve been a store manager with them for 11 years. During the interviews, I felt like things were growing great and the feedback I got at the end was great. My controversial opinion of the day is that organic social is worth fuckall for the majority of brands (including the trendy lifestyle ones) and that influencers are just propping up vanity metrics.

A couple of ppl in my previous agency, saw a competitor acct try a very interesting idea that we thought was cool — but their execution was super localized, in europe, and was not even done to its fullest potential. So, they didnt get ANY press (just like two articles from random websites). Fast forward and Im at another agency, thinking that now more than ever, that idea could be done better. Is it fair game?

Let’s say you were interviewing for a global client lead role - at the holding co level - for one of WPP, Omnicom or IPG.

What questions would you ask in the interview phase?
What concerns would you have?
If you had your pick of essentially the same role at all three of those holding companies which would you pick? Or not pick?
