I'm not in the same security field but you can 100% shift.
Why do you think you can't?
You've become complacent with your job. That doesn't mean you can't get out and there aren't other opportunities. You just need to push yourself.
1. Get your resume updated
2. Apply for jobs that you match the JD even 25%. This is important. JDs are normally bloated up and feel very intimidating when the real job needs probably 15% of what the JD asks for
3. Fail at interviews. Actually note down what they are asking in the current job market. After every interview go and learn what you didn't know and explore the tech as well
4. Put in your papers, leave your job and live a normal day shift life.
Where there is will there is a way... Start working on your skills. Do DSA learn basic and start applying. Get yourself out of there. Don't think much, instead act more. All the best.
Step 1: Start upgrading and learning about where you want to move forward - Development, QA, Product
Step 2: get some relevant certifications for selected Step 1 to show seriousness to next potential employer
Step 3: prepare for interviews
Step 4: Update and upload resume
Then hope for the best
