@KPMG1 - quick look on Glassdoor confirms that Deloitte pays better across most verticals.
Private firms in general can do better than public firms when it comes to retaining top talent via compensation. Not to mention the fact that the prize at the end of the table with a private firm is probably a bit more rewarding emotionally and financially
Also to be clear, this is a mid-year raise on top of our typical yearly raises we'll also be getting 6 months down the line. Think it's the most ridiculous thing to complain about
O1 - Accenture Strategy pays significantly higher than other areas within ACN
A1 - did you move to industry?
Yeah. Our non-MBA strategy got increased $10K vs $5K to close the gap a bit at C. Our MBAs start at C3. So that’s -147 for MBA vs ~130(?) non-MBA.
And the rest of ACn leaves for uncle D.
M1 salary for MC non MBA at Accenture?
K1, MC is a different practice than Strategy at ACN - might have better luck posting in the compensation bowl.
Year 1 non-MBA Strategy Manager should make around $160k now I believe
What about mc M1? @a3
ACN M1 for MC is nearly all non-MBA. It would vary by city. I’d guess ~140 for a tier 1? I can’t find the comp survey we did on fishbowl anymore
K1, not sure about MC salaries...sorry!
I’d say PwC is much better than. M1 - 150 in my group and director starts at 180
PWC2 - is that for strategy or MC?
Mc I believe strategy is much more
Sounds like you need to slap yourself on to greener pastures, OP. If you aren’t pleased only you can change it
Well it’s really a slap in the face to the rest of us getting nothing!
150 base is a bit high for Mc, but could be true for a tier 1 city. Strategy is higher, which is where MBAs go typically. C1 in MC tier 1 is 106, +10k/year over 4 years seems reasonable.
@Accenture 3 and @Accenture 7- This was not an “out of cycle raise”. This is partially bridging the gap created in December when Strategy Leadership chose to not give the normal full raises in the normal salary path. This raise still doesn’t close the gap from where ALL OF US should be based on the bands they had set out for Strategy. I’d be more appreciative if I weren’t already in SM roles for the last year and getting paid at less than the M salary they themselves say is the band. Since we don’t differentiate pay (I.e. all M1 make the same base, etc.) and our bonuses are crap, and Consultants already got higher raises in December and now again, most of us at the M and SM level feel slighted by the company. I’ve talked to over 20 M and SM the last two weeks, and everyone feels the same. The amount of extra work and pressure at those levels is dramatically higher than for C and A. And yet Accenture already pays those lower levels better than market rates, yet for M and SM pays way below market. So, how do they explain giving us much lower “raises” that don’t even get us to the level they had said M and SM would be at?? And @Accsnture 7, I guarantee you I donate more in $ and my time than you do, being on the board of two non profits and helping at two others, so get off your high horse.
OP, can you tell us which firms you're comparing us to when you say Ms and SMs are "way below market rate?"
Also - 2 weeks later and you finally reply? Seems a bit odd
I’m sure those are fair points, and I’m not saying you shouldn’t strive for being paid market value for your work. I’m just referring to the general Latrell Sprewell mentality of consultants: “I only got X% raise to $1XXk and $1X bonus, how do they expect me to pay my $3k/month rent and eat out everyday!?”. Ive been to small villages in asia where people work as hard as us and ~$4k is their yearly salary and they have no opportunity to get a raise.
I can add no value to the convo about strategy salary bands. Just rethink equating a $4k raise to “a slap across the face” regardless of the context.
Yet you still work there. Your desired comp framework is not consistent with Accenture’s Comp strategy. You can only change your position. You will not change Accenture’s comp strategy.
