Hello Nooglers, is it possible to internally switch at Google from TSE (AI/ML) to core ML domain? If yes, how and how much time a person would require to work at TSE position? I received interview call for TSE position so I was wondering if this could be a possibility or not.

@KPMG1 - quick look on Glassdoor confirms that Deloitte pays better across most verticals.
Private firms in general can do better than public firms when it comes to retaining top talent via compensation. Not to mention the fact that the prize at the end of the table with a private firm is probably a bit more rewarding emotionally and financially
Also to be clear, this is a mid-year raise on top of our typical yearly raises we'll also be getting 6 months down the line. Think it's the most ridiculous thing to complain about
O1 - Accenture Strategy pays significantly higher than other areas within ACN
Accenture is like the only consulting firm represented on here that’s public. If you go to a public firm to get a huge salary, you’re gonna have a bad time
Accenture is great for pay right out of college, but a couple years in you should probably be looking to exit.
Like who @owner1?
I've always thought Acn to pay to most outside of MBB and tier 2 strategy.
OP, can you explain why us getting a raise outside of our normal talent cycle is a bad thing? Leadership basically went outside of our normal talent discussion process to give us a raise
Accenture has never been the market leading pay master. You ought to look at other firms if comp is most important to you
Hahahahaha
I just left Accenture for almost double what they paid me, Accenture has terrible turnover because they simply refuse to offer competitive pay.
How is 155 as a senior and even 160 as a M bad salary? Sorry but stfu. I know some b4 making less than 120 - no MBA though.
Dude just be grateful.
dude stop complaining. look at your siblings in Tech and Digital and maybe Operations, they are peasants compared to you (the favorite) kids of Accenture (Strategy)
Okay if the unexpected extra 4k is such a “slap across the face”, why don’t you just donate it all? I’m sure a lot of charities will value that money more than you do
To be clear, OP is complaining about M1 starting at 160 (same as in 2017). MBA hires were brought to market for base (not bonus) at 155 for year-4 senior consultants. First 2 years post-MBA are fine. After that you get shafted
Public companies are the worst. Always about the bottom line.
I worked for Accenture for over 10 years. Learned a lot, great experience and developed good skills. However, it is not and has never been a strategy to be a comp leader since Andersen Consulting ceased to exist and they went public. My experience is that comp is generally lower for similar work to Big 4. They know this and they know the implications.
There are other reasons to work there but if relatively high comp compared to other firms generally won’t be one of them. There are individual exceptions of course; this is a gross generalization.
OW is part of MMC, so it's also public. Still manage to stay competitive on salary, but we don't get close to the same benefits as MBB due to our benevolent overlords.
@PWC2 - M1 @150k is very high. You mean with an MBA? I know seniors at PWC making 90-110. The jump to M1 can't be that high?
What group are you in?
Probably looking at peer convos and managementconsulted by years out of school
Comparing against Big 4. I have close friends who are at EY, Deloitte, and PwC, who started same time I did at ACN and have had same promotion path. Their base is considerably higher (ex. at M1 they made more base than an Accenture M2), and the variable pay is anywhere from 50% to 200%+ higher than ours. This from more than one data pint at each firm, and even with consistent top ratings for me here. Not even comparing us to MBB, because the gap there is depressing, more of a chasm than gap.
Btw, Accenture 3, I only bother to check this app sporadically. I’ve got better things to do than check this everyday,
