Given that working from home does not appear to be ending anytime soon, are any firms planning to start reimbursing for internet? I’m sure I’m not the only one that could use better internet now that we are working from home everyday/having so many video calls. Kind of sucks to have to foot that bill yourself to get faster internet for work that you didn’t need previously. Was wondering if this was something any other firms are/planning to start helping with.

Conventional wisdom on current firm counter-offering when mentioning you have a few offers? I have an offer at a large firm in Miami. Current large firm has no office there but mentioned they can likely let me be there in a remote basis. BCG and a few other law blog sites have advised against accepting current firm counter-offers, e.g., likely to leave, not loyal, off partner track, etc., but would love to hear everyone’s thoughts.

So, the CDC removed the Covid guidelines. I’ve never had Covid. I’m afraid people will come into work not wearing a mask and be inconsiderate… ughhh so distracting and disgusting. I’m also at risk to develop complications. Not sure if I should talk to HR. Not even sure if I should ask for accommodations to continue being able to wfh at least most days of the week to reduce risk. Idkkkk 😩This is so unprecedented. I always wear my mask at work. I’m getting pressured to attend firm events as well
